Lubricant Labelling

CO2Star Campaign on Lubricants

Another initiative of the Carbon Labelling project was the development and implementation of a CO2Star label for lubricants (motor oils). With innovative (synthetic) lubricants 2-6% fuel savings can be achieved and thus, carbon emissions can be reduced. The CO2Star label was applied to four lublicants of the German fuel retailer Q1 in a pilot initiative of the Carbon Labelling project.
